1st Interstate Inn Montrose

Booked this dog friendly hotel last minute, the owner was amazing! Called to advise that we would be coming in close to 7:30PM. (Coming from Texas) didn't realize the dates I had selected were for November but thankfully he had a room available. Super quick and helpful. Rooms were a good size for 2 adults and a large dog. Stove and fridge were clean and restroom was a good size. Better than expected! King Bed was comfy and roomy too. Great place to stay for the night.

Have never stayed here, however, before renting any room at any motel, inn or hotel, one should ask to see the room first. Seeing outshouts being told, every time.

Room was clean & quiet. Staff was helpful, friendly & efficient. Card reader/door lock on my room needs replacement.

Last minute reservation. Quite surprised by how clean and well appointed the rooms were. One room even had a full kitchen! Staff and management very accommodating! First choice for lodging if ever in Montrose again!

Ive been riding motorcycles for 41 years ! The bad reviews are total b.s. .. I've stayed here many times with my motorcycle club.. the place has very nice clean rooms ..( no odor)..parking lot entry .. large places to park.. a nice patio ..heated pool.... nice size refrigerator .. microwave .. comfy beds..big screen t.v...nice furnishings .. great pressure showers..the motel is run by a nice family..for families... attentive to all your needs.. the owners here show's pride of ownership ...I've seen motels where I wouldn't let a cockroach sleep in.. and camped instead.. if I could give this nice motel 6 stars, and 6 thumbs up.. I would. People don't hesitate one second for criticism and to complain .. but are quiet to complement.. it's a great place and highly recommended !! As for all those sniveling whinners ..stay at a Motel 6.

I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about but each to their own I guess for me my room was the bed was very comfortable the room was clean and the staff was very friendly honestly what more can you ask for in a place orher than your own home. I do alot of traveling and stay at alot of motels and this little gem is a whole lot better than some of the 3 and 4 star hotels I've stayed in like the Wingate,residence inn to name a few so I will definitely recommend this little motel and will definitely stay here again

I needed to stay here for one night. The room was as expected. Clean, comfortable and basic needs covered. The bed was really comfortable with a nice pillow top mattress . Plenty of space in the room for the large bed too. Nice sized mini fridge and a large tv too. I loved how the shower was a walk-in shower. My only complaint was the TV had no way to switch over to the HDMI output. Other than that, a great place to stay for your money.

Everything was very pleasant from the minute I walked in the office everyone was kind and courteous I seen a few reviews on here that weren't all that great I think that was before the new owners took over because this place is quite nice and very quiet great place to stay

I had a good experience here. It is not the best, nor spotless clean like some other locations and hotels that you go to. However the staff was friendly, the room was inexpensive, it was clean, and we had a good night's sleep.

I was here for a small motorcycle rally. I was a little leery about staying here due to previous reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. The front desk clerk was very friendly and accomodating when we asked if we could split the bill. The room was adequate and clean. However there was an issue with maintenence as is normal with older motels. The bathroom door hinge screws were loose as the holes were augered out due to age. Not a big deal. The surprise in the bathroom was the showerhead was actually installed high enough that made taking a shower without squatting down for a 6'2" person like myself very nice. With the room rate at $109/night I wasn't expecting the Ritz but it wasn't a fleabag kind of place either. Oh, and having Starvin' Arvin's next door was a big plus!
